More ProductAn underfloor cooling system works by the transfer of energy by radiant heat exchange. Radiant heat is when warmth is passed to cooler objects so when the floor is cooled to a temperature cooler than the surrounding air, the floor then absorbs radiant energy proportional to the temperature difference between the surface and the room.

More ProductApr 13, 2018 Underfloor Cooling is predicted to replace air conditioning units in high rise buildings. The main factor driving this system in becoming popular amongst clients and consultants is the competitive advantage of control that is offered. The system, when paired with underfloor heating, can automatically switch from heating to cooling and vice-versa. …
More ProductApr 19, 2017 Waterware is the only company in New Zealand to offer this new technology. Known as Arotherm, the heat pump needed for this system, provides a new level in underfloor heating and cooling. “It also allows all hot water for taps and showers to be heated by this system, simultaneously to either heating or cooling the home.”
More ProductDec 07, 2016 As running Aircons is expensive. Has anyone thought of of converting an underfloor heating system to underfloor cooling, without the heating, but utilising the pumping system with glycol and a chiller. The way this would ideally be installed, is fitting it to the upstairs floor of a house. Base...

More ProductJan 01, 2009 Since supply-air temperatures for underfloor systems may be significantly higher, economizer cycles using outdoor air only for building cooling can be extended, especially in areas with relatively mild temperatures and low-humidity climates. This results in reduced operating hours for building chillers and lower electrical costs.
More ProductJun 12, 2017 Posted June 11, 2017. In practice, slab cooling isn't a risk in the UK climate at all. We run water at 12 deg C around the slab when the system is in cooling mode, and the slab surface never, ever gets below 18 deg C. Even that cool is rare, and most of the time the slab is around 19 to 19.5 deg C in warm weather.
More ProductJun 15, 2018 Underfloor Air Distribution (UFAD) is an air distribution strategy for providing ventilation and space conditioning in buildings as part of the design of an HVAC system. UFAD systems use the underflow plenum beneath a raised floor to provide conditioned air through floor diffusers directly to the occupied zone.
More ProductLess heat wastage – underfloor heating system allows for the less of heat wastage Design freedom – as all the piping network is under the floor, this frees the space above for luxurious designs. We offer HVAC design and engineering for many bespoke systems such as Chillers System, VRF or VRV System, Gas-Driven System, Radiant Underfloor ...

More ProductThe underfloor cooling system should be protected against the water temperature dropping below 18C. The maximum thermal resistance of the installed floor should not exceed R≤0.15m 2 K/W. If the wooden layered board is installed in a floating system, the thermal resistance of the base material should not exceed 0.05m 2 K/W.

More ProductUnderfloor cooling systems works pretty much the same way its heating counterpart does. Here, radiant cooling is the principle underlying these hydronic systems. It is said that the human body experiences the greatest level of well-being when at least 50% of heat output is regulated through radiation. Thus, the hydronic cooling network uses ...
